Be It Resolved by the City Council or the City of Jamestown, to wit:

THAT, the City council does hereby approve and adopt the City of Jamestown Strategic Plan for the period from year 2011 through 2016 as follows:

MISSION STATEMENT: "To provide effective, quality municipal services, through leadership, innovation, prudent financial management and partnerships."

VISION STATEMENT: "To be the most desirable community to live, work and lay, supported by a proactive, efficient and transparent municipal government."

STRATEGIC PROJECTS

PUBLIC WORKS:
(2013)Execute the three phase implementation plan for the sanitary sewer repairs and upgrades
(2013)Wastewater Treatment Facility repairs and upgrades
(2013)Water distribution system upgrades to include a SW water tower
(2013)Explore the implementation of curbside recycling and sanitation collection system upgrades
(2016)Execute phase one of the storm sewer repairs and upgrades

POLICE &  FIRE:
(2012-July)Shooting range improvements
(2016)Construct south side fire station

CIVIC  CENTER &  PROMOTION:
(2015)Upgrade mechanical and electrical systems for civic Center

BUILDING, PLANNING &  ZONING:
(2012-Dec)Complete land use and transportation study

LEGAL  &  FINANCE:
(2016)Review and revise the City code
